It is safe to say that getting covered on TMZ is now the yardstick at which we judge celebrity status in today’s society. That makes the Cybertruck a bonafide celebrity as people clamor to catch a glimpse of the Brutalist design pickuptruck around the streets of LA. Since it’s launch, local sightings have been popping up online similar to paparazzi sightings of illusive an celebrities. Then it all came to a head yesterday when Tesla CEO Elon Musk and his entourage took the Cybertruck for a night out in the city of angels. In this age where everyone has a smartphone on hand ready to snap one for the gram, our ever present selfie culture state of mind guarantees that a Cybertruck outing will not happen without someone capturing a photo or video of the event and posting it online.

Take a closer look at the red haired lady in the photo, Does anyone know what she’s wearing on her face?? I consider myself a fashion connoisseur and I do my best to stay up to date with the latest fashion trends but I seem to have missed this one. Please DM me @voltly if you have an idea. I’m asking for a friend.
Over the past 24 hours, photos have been pouring in for multiple sightings of Elon Mush an and the Cybertryck outing. With over 250,000 pre orders so far, there is no questioning the tremendous popularity and interest the Cybertruck has garnered, bringing Youtube fame to the lucky few who have been able to capture a video of the Cybertruck out in the streets of Los Angeles. The amount of sightings and photographic evidence has given us a sort of timeline of events, allowing us to piece together what happened that night through photos and videos.
Cruising Down The Highway
This string of sighting began on Saturday night with a video by Youtuber Roberto Cruz when happened upon a Cybertruck speeding down the 405 freeway around the Getty Center heading north. We know this because the Cybertruck was then sighted at NOBU in Malibu. If you live in Los Angeles, you will know that to get to Malibu from Beverly Hills (which is where Elon Musk reportedly lives) you would need to that the 405 North and then exit Sunset Blvd. heading west until you hit the ocean. I’m not Cruz if he realized that it was being driven by Elon Musk but nevertheless, he was quite impressed. The importance of this video can’t be understated because it the Cybertruck was being driven by the it’s creator – Elon Musk. It’s equivalent to you spotting Steve Jobs out in public using an iPhone pre launch. It’s that epic, hence the reason Cruz’s video has so far garnered close to a million views in just under 48 hours, making it one of his most successful video to date.

Valet Parking The Truck
At the time of night when Roberto Cruz spotted the Cybertruck on the 405 Freeway, it would have taken Elon Musk and crew about 20-25 minutes to get to Nobu in Malibu without traffic because any LA resident will know that with traffic it’s a completely different conversation. From the photos above, it seems Elon met with Hollywood actor and Oscar nominee Edward Norton. It’s anybody’s guess what they talked about at dinner but my hope is that they discussed putting the Cybertruck in Edward Norton’s next movie. After dinner, Elon Musk and crew loaded up into the Cybertruck and headed off into the night to destinations unknown. Just another night in LaLaLand!
